“Wait? …so…. I just drop them off?” That’s the reaction we get from parents when they first learn about date nights. Yes, you just just drop the kiddos off and and enjoy a few nice hours of pure adult bliss.

Hey, it’s your date night. You do you.

While the term “date night” can be anxiety-inducing, don’t sweat it, maybe you’re heading out for a night of wining and dining, but maybe you just want to eat chocolate without a tiny human asking for some, or maybe you even want to use the downtime to finally learn how to use your Instant Pot.

1. Play Haven

Neighborhood: Forest Hill, SF

Ages: 2 years — 6 years

Play Haven offers creative play activities, a special art project, games, and story time during their drop-offs for date nights. Plus they have every kids favorite: pizza …okay, and fruits and veggies too. Play Haven is a quick walk to the Forest Hill Muni station.

2. Little Gym of Morgan Hill

Neighborhood: Morgan Hill

Ages: 3 years — 12 years

Parents’ Survival Night at Little Gym of Morgan Hill gives South Bay parents time to see a movie, catch up with friends or enjoy a (quiet) meal while your kids get some quality LEGO time complete with music, games, and more.

3. SF Gymnastics

Neighborhood: Western Addition, SF

Ages: 5 years — 10 years

Games, parachute time, pizza dinner and more are in store at SF Gymnastics for their Parents’ Night Out. Send the kid to this event in their PJs and you don’t even need to do a bedtime routine when you get home. i

4. AcroSports

Neighborhood: Cole Valley, SF

Ages: 6 years — 12 years

Oh, were you looking for a zipline with your drop-off night? Well, good news for you AcroSports comes complete with zipline, bungee rides and more for the kids’ night out.

5. Hanabi Judo

Neighborhood: East Bay, Albany

Ages: 5 years — 12years

Hanabi burns off the kids’ energy with organized games on their big soft mats followed by movies (projected in super-size) and, of course, pizza. They top it off with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for the kiddos… and their parents too.

6. The Rabbit Hole

Neighborhood: Noe Valley, SF

Ages: 3 years — 8years

Popcorn, crafts watching Disney’s Tangled on their massive 20-foot wall, and of course, a hefty dose of singing are all in store for littles at The Rabbit Hole’s date night.

7. Imagination Playhouse

Neighborhood: Outer Richmond, SF

Ages: 2.5 Years — 10 years

If you’re headed out to a movie for date night, send your littles out for the same — a laid back night at Imagination Playhouse will do the trick. The excellent team there take care of dinner and lead a night of art, music, play time, story time and finally a movie.

8. Peek-a-Boo Factory

Neighborhood: West Portal, SF

Ages: 3 years — 10 years

Drop the kids off at Peek-a-Boo factory for a fun-filled evening of arts and crafts, group activities, games, puzzles, story time and more, while you treat yourself to a night out. And remember that all kiddos should make sure to bring socks in order to enjoy the awesome indoor playground here.

9. Little Artistas

Neighborhood: Glen Park, SF

Ages: 4 years — 10 years

Little Artistas themes their date nights, like this one with a night with Moana, sing alongs, pizza-eating, and matching Moana boat crafting. Just be prepared for lots of “You’re Welcome” on the ride home.
